Brian Hinkle is an artist living and working in Wichita, Kansas, U.S.A.  His artwork includes oil paintings and handmade enamels.  

Brian's most recent series of paintings are lyrical abstractions with still lifes, figures, animals and birds.  His autobiographical
subjects are transformed into a whimsical cubist style influenced by 20th century Modernist pioneers like
Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, and Joan Miro.

Brian believes that Modernism is a richer tradition than Post-Modernism.  
He also believes in the continuing relevance and importance of oil painting as a medium of artistic expression.
